Reggie Bush

Reggie Bush has played football in the running back position for High School, College, and the NFL. Reggie Bush is one of the best running backs coming from the San Diego area. While Reggie was in High School he attended Helix High School for all four years. When Reggie was a freshman he was just getting the hang of things and starting to grow into what he is today. As a sophomore in 2000 he was honored with playing varsity and was a Cal-Hi sports All-State first team selection. Than when he was a junior had 34 touchdowns and added up to having 2,200 rushing yards. Than in 2002 during Reggie's senior year he broke his wrist, but that was not going to stop him from doing what he is capable of doing. As a senior Reggie had 27 touchdowns and rushed 1,691 yards. He could have had accomplished more for his team if he did not have to sit out four games because of his wrist injury, but that did not stop him from other accomplishment down the road. During Reggie's varsity career the Helix football record was 36-3 and they received two CIF- San Diego Section Division II Championships.
When Reggie went on to college he attended The University of Southern California. His sophomore year is when he became a play maker and was one of the college football players to watch in excitement. Reggie did very well in his sophomore career but exploded his junior year because he attended 13 games and had 908 running yards with only 143 carries. While he was a junior he gave his team 15 touchdowns and rushed for 1,658 yards. Than lead his team to the National Championship again Texas. Throughout his college career with 38 games Reggie gave his team 41 touchdown. To be honored for the accomplishments he made he was given many different awards. Such as the Doak Walker Award, Walter Camp Award, and probably the most well known and most rewarding for a football player would be the Heisman Trophy.
After Reggie Bush finished his phenomenal junior year football season at The University of Southern California he decided to enter the NFL draft. This was a good decision because he was drafted second overall to the New Orleans Saints in 2006. Although in High School and College Reggie Bush had the number 5 on his chest and back, when he entered the NFL he had to change his number because of the number rules the NFL has, he had to change his number to 25 instead, but that did not change his playing ability in any way. In 2010 Reggie Bush and his quarter back Drew Brees were leaders of the team bringing them to the super bowl XLIV (44) as the underdog and winning against the Colts! In the super bowl Reggie had 38 receiving yards and 25 rushing yards to help get his team the win they worked so hard for. Reggie has played four football seasons with the Saints so far and hopefully continues to give them more successful years to come.
